Bad News Never Had Good Timing

Well, we are still trying to plead our case of "extenuating circumstances" to a lender so that we can get into another home this fall.
So far, not so good. BUT - me (being the hot head that I am) made some advancement with the actual big wigs of FHA. I will keep this blog posted on that....
But for now, the lenders still say we are a liability to lend to.  Apparently, being a target of attempted homicide and being told by police to relocate and forced to short sell isn't sufficient enough of a situation for them to reconsider.
I understand, its a business and a huge money game. I just wish people had morals.

I'm praying, and hoping that anyone that reads this does too.
It's not about materialistic things - it's about rebuilding, coping with what was unfairly taken, and healing.
I hate this apartment in quiet West Jordan. I didn't come here by choice, so it's not my 'home'.
I feel homeless and displaced here.

So all I really wanna know is.........
Where'd all the good people go?

I'm just playin', I know you're out there.. <3

Someone will finance us, I just know it =)

A.S.A.P.

Oh, Hi There Blog (and Outdoorzz)

It's been a while....No, I didn't forget about you. Life just got super crazy after my last post in September. I'll post as applicable when appropriate from here on out ;)

Alex and I have been exploring our outdoorsie-ness lately. We've gone on a few hikes, gotten some gnarly sunburns, caught some fish, and even started camping. Yeah - I know. I used to love camping when I was a kid, we'd go with my dad or neighbors all the time and I always loved it. But as an adult I freakin hated it because of how much work it is. But we're building up all our gear and getting a pretty sick setup so it's actually not that complicated to load up and go for a day or so.

Last night after I got done working the Bee's game (a 2nd job I am so lucky to have during the baseball season!!) Alex was waiting for me in the parking lot with the Jeep all loaded up with our sleeping bags, fishing poles, bug spray, hiking shoes, beer, and all those other necessities when going wild. It was 11pm and we headed up Big Cottonwood Canyon.
We finally found a place to park it and we fell asleep pretty fast, haha. But we woke up bright and early in time to head over to Silver Lake and spend a few hours preying on the fishies.
ALEX caught the only two of the day, but that's a'ight. I was having a good time just watching his biceps flex every time he would cast out.
After we fished for a while we went on a hike up to Lake Mary, Lake Martha, and Lake Catherine which is about a 3 mile hike from Brighton ski resort. It was so nice!!
Here are some pics from today's adventure!!
FASH!

Silver Lake

These were our little friend just chillin under Al's chair while we fished...eating pretzels ;)

Pre-Hike Annuh

The last stretch to Lake Mary was rough...but sooo worth it once we got there.

My cute hike guide

YUP that's snow! There was a lot more than I thought would be there.

Lake Mary

Hike up a little while further and there's
Lake Martha

Hike up even further and you see Lake Mary AND Lake Martha! SOO PRETTY

 Smooch stop ;)

Then there was the red-headed-step-child...Lake Catherine.
This is where we had lunch. Jel??

 Post-Hike....

I don't know why I feel like I am above using sun screen. I guess it's because I secretly hope that I'm "tan enough" to not get burned, just more bronze!! Denial burns.

I'll post some pics from the hike we did last weekend...which was another killer six miles.
